REMINDER – PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTICE. “Italy. A Country for Travellers – A Journey through Italian Culture, Style and Food” (Rome, June 27, 2018)

“Italy. A Country for Travellers – A Journey through Italian Culture, Style and Food”, an event presenting the actions taken to enhance the image of Italy abroad,  will take place in Rome at the Lanterna di Fuksas (Via Tomacelli, 157) on Wednesday,  June 27, 2018 at 7.30 p.m.  in the presence of the Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Manlio Di Stefano.

The event will be attended by international tour operators, foreign press and Diplomatic Corps representatives. It will present the actions taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation through its diplomatic and consular network in the United States, Canada, Japan, India, People’s Republic of China, South Africa, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Mexico to enhance the image of Italy abroad.

The planned initiatives are part of the  broader #VivereALLItaliana campaign. They have been organised thanks to the resources allocated in the Memorandum of Understanding for enhancing Italy’s image abroad, signed by the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event will be introduced by RAI journalist Giuliana Palmiotta. Presentations will then be delivered by representatives of the Ministry Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and of the Ministry of Tourism, the Italian National Tourist Board (ENIT) President Evelina Christillin, Italy’s Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces Tourism Coordinator Giovanni Lolli, and Alitalia’s Special Commissioner Luigi Gubitosi.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews who wish to attend are kindly requested to apply for accreditation by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it  (tel. 06/3691.3432-8573-8210) and attaching the letter of their media organisation (or press card for freelance reporters) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s country.

Accreditation badges shall be collected in person at the Lanterna di Fuksas (Via Tomacelli, 157 – Rome) starting from 7.00 p.m.
