On Tuesday, 27 November, at 4:30 p.m., the Farnesina will host the Conference “Indices and Reputation: comparing attractiveness strategies”, developed by The European House-Ambrosetti (TEH-A) as part of the efforts to enhance the “Global Attractiveness Index-GAI”, is aimed at exploring the relationship between Countries’ image and their respective positioning in the principal international rankings.
The Conference will open with remarks by the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Manlio di Stefano.
The opening remarks will be followed by contributions from Giandomenico Magliano, MAECI Coordinator for the Investment Attraction Strategy and Positioning on International Rankings, Fabrizio Lucentini, the Director General of Internationalisation and Trade Promotion at the Ministry of Economic Development, Roberto Torrini, Director of the Economic Department Service of the Bank of Italy, Stefano Nigro, Director of the Coordinating Office of Foreign Investment Attraction at ICE-Agency, and Eugenio Sidoli, Coordinator of the Foreign Investors Advisory Board of Confindustria and President and CEO of Philip Morris Italia.
The day’s agenda will follow with the presentation of the “Global Attractiveness Index” 2018 Report by Valerio de Molli, Managing Partner and CEO of The European House – Ambrosetti and contributions by Reenat Sandhu, Ambassador of India, Jasen Mesic, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia, June Chepchirchir, Chargée d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya and Agnieszka Hoppen-Klikowicz, Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.
Prof. Luigi Paganetto, President of the Economy Foundation of the University of Rome-Tor Vergata, will express the academic point of view on the issue.
The Conference will be moderated by Vincenzo De Luca, Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation.
