On Wednesday 22 May, from 2.45 to 4.45 p.m., the Farnesina will host the presentation of the Second Report on Italy, adopted within the framework of the second assessment cycle of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
The initiative, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in conjunction with the Italian National Anti-Corruption Authority, is evidence of the great commitment shown by all the competent institutional stakeholders, on the themes of multilateral cooperation and measures against corruption, which are the pillars of the emerging legal diplomacy.
Italy has recently undergone the second assessment cycle obtaining an ample positive outcome which has contributed considerably to the image of the Country and to its reputation. The second assessment report has acknowledged some best practices and advances made in our system in the struggle against all forms of corruption, with special reference to themes as prevention and asset recovery.
The event, which is open to all media organisations, will include addresses delivered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Enzo Moavero Milanesi, the President of ANAC, Raffaele Cantone, and the Minister of Justice, Alfonso Bonafede.
A technical session and a debate will follow, according to the programme details attached herewith.
Among the participants there will be the Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited in Rome and Italian and foreign top executive officials of both the public and private sectors, members of civil society, Academia, including professors and students of the Anti-Corruption Master Courses held at the LUISS and Roma Tor Vergata universities and the Master Course on the Management of Confiscated Properties held at Parthenope University.
