Information notice – The Partnership with Africa launch event – 15 December 2020, 11.00 am

Tomorrow 15 December from 11.00 am, the launch event “The Partnership with Africa“, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs policy document identifying Italy’s main foreign policy priorities on the African continent, will be held in a virtual format.

The first part of the conference will feature speeches by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, the Chairmen of the Foreign Affairs Committees of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, Sen. Piero Fassino and Hon. Vito Rosario Petrocelli, and the Rector of the Scuola Universitaria Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, Prof. Sabrina Nuti.

The event will be followed by speeches from the CEO of ENEL, Francesco Starace, the Director of the NGO CUAMM – Doctors with Africa, Don Dante Carraro, and the Malian Ambassador to Rome, H.E. Aly Coulibaly.

The second part of the event will be devoted to an electoral training project for several African countries, “Innov-Elections“. The project is financed by MAECI (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation) and promoted by the Scuola Universitaria Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa and the ECES Foundation (European Centre for Electoral Support), in collaboration with UNITAR (United Nations Institute for Training and Research).

Vice Ministers Sereni and Del Re will be speaking in the final session of the event.
