Media accreditation note – Dedication of the Farnesina’s EU Treaty Room to European Parliament President, David Sassoli (Farnesina 19 January 2022)

On Wednesday, 19 January 2022, at 11:00 a.m., the Farnesina will host the dedication ceremony of the EU Treaty Room to the memory of European Parliament President David Sassoli.

The event can be attended by journalists in person, from the Ministry’s Aldo Moro salle d’écoute, and by the official photographers directly in the venue. Public Broadcaster RAI will make its images available to anyone requesting them. It will also be possible to follow the Ceremony in live streaming on the Farnesina’s YouTube channel.

To attend the Ceremony, it will be mandatory to:

  1. carry a Super Green Pass (a “reinforced” version of the certificate of vaccination or recovery from the virus);
  2. Display the result of a swab test (if a rapid antigen test, taken not more than 48 prior to the event, if a molecular test, taken not more than 72 hours prior to the event);
  3. Wear a FFP2 mask.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for accreditation by 4:00 PM, Tuesday, 18 January, in one of the following two ways:

  • ONLINE, at the link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it, attaching thereto the requested documentation in digital format (letter of his/her media organization and, for members of the foreign press, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organization’s Country).
  • VIA E-MAIL to: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it, (Tel: +39 06/3691.3432 – 06/3691.8573), attaching thereto the aforesaid documentation.

It is hereby notified as of now that it will not be possible to accept new accreditation applications on the day of the event.

We inform media representatives that, for the Ceremony, the Public Security Authorities have laid down measures that limit the circulation of vehicles and the use of the parking lots adjacent to the Farnesina.

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance – left-hand side – from 09:30 a.m. and absolutely no later than 10:30 a.m.
