On Thursday 24 February 2022, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Jean Yves Le Drian, will attend a meeting of the Council of Ministers, at the invitation of the Italian Government, pursuant to the Quirinal Treaty (Trattato del Quirinale).
Once the meeting is over, Italy’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio and his French counterpart will hold a joint press point at the Farnesina, at 12.00 pm.
Given current legislation on social distancing, a limited number of press representatives will be allowed access: only one journalist, one photographer and/or one cameraman per newspaper or agency may be accredited. Considering the limited capacity of the press point room, a listening room will be set up for accredited press representatives once said capacity is exceeded.
The press point shall also be streamed live on the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Due to the limited space, only the first accreditations, received in chronological order, will be accepted and granted access to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and participation in the event, following the relevant confirmation. Those who do not receive said confirmation will not be admitted.
In order to gain access to the Conference, it will be mandatory to:
- Have and show the Super Green Pass;
- Wear an FFP2 face mask.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the joint press point may apply for accreditation by 9:00 am of Thursday 24 February, either:
- ONLINE, at the link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it, attaching thereto the requested documentation in digital format (letter of their news media organisation and, for members of the foreign press, also a Note Verbale issued by the Rome Embassy of the news media organisation’s Country).
- VIA E-MAIL to be sent to: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it, (Tel: +39 06/3691.3432 – 06/3691.8573), attaching thereto the aforesaid documentation.
Accredited press staff may access the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the main entrance, left side, from 10.45 am to 11.45 am., in compliance with the current legislation on social distancing, following a body temperature check and only if holding a super green pass and wearing an FFP2 mask.
