REMINDER: MEDIA ACCREDITATION NOTICE – “Ripartiamo in Sicurezza” event to launch the new “Viaggiare Sicuri” website (11 July 2022, 09:00 – International Conference Hall)

On Monday 11 July 2022 the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, will open the “Ripartiamo in sicurezza” event being held at the Farnesina from 09:00 to 10:30.

The event will mark the launch of the new version of the “Viaggiare Sicuri” website, as well as the inclusion of the Crisis Unit services in the “Io” App, which will give millions of citizens easier access to the portals for the protection of Italians abroad.

The presentation will be moderated by Sky TG24 journalist Mariangela Pira. The event will be opened by Minister Di Maio. Other speakers include the Secretary General of the Farnesina, Ettore Francesco Sequi; the Councillor for the Digital Economy and Technological Innovation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and former Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitalisation, Paola Pisano; and the Head of the Farnesina’s Crisis Unit, Nicola Minasi.

The event will also launch the Farnesina Crisis Unit’s institutional communication campaign, dedicated to the www.viaggiaresicuri.it and www.dovesiamonelmondo.it services. The importance of conscious travelling will be further stressed by Alberto Angela, with a short video, filmed free of charge. It will be previewed during the event and subsequently broadcast on RAI channels and on the Ministry’s web and social accounts.

The event will be streamed live on the YouTube page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation: Farnesina – YouTube.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event in person should apply for accreditation by 16:00 of Friday 8 July, sending their application by email to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06/3691.3432 – 06/3691.8573 06/3691.3078). They should attach a letter from their media organisation and a copy of their identity document.

Representatives of foreign media organisations should also attach a Note Verbale from their organisation’s Embassy in Rome.

Accredited media representatives should enter the Farnesina by the main entrance (left-hand side), from 08:00 to 08:45 on 11 July, wearing a face mask.
