Nota di accreditamento stampa – Vice Presidente e Ministro degli Affari Esteri Antonio Tajani accoglie profughi provenienti dalla Libia, oggi 30 novembre, a Fiumicino

Today, at 3:30 PM, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will be at  Terminal 5 at Fiumicino Airport to welcome 114 refugees from detention camps in Libya. They will arrive thanks to the humanitarian corridor and evacuation system. They are from some African Countries and Syria, and will be hosted in different Italian regions. The new arrival concludes the first protocol for refugees from Libya, signed by the Foreign and Interior Ministries, UNHCR, the Community of Sant’Egidio, the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy (FCEI) and the Union of Methodist and Waldensian Churches, for a total of 550 people welcomed in our Country.

Matteo Piantedosi, Minister of the Interior, Chiara Cardoletti, UNHCR’s representative to Italy, the Holy See and San Marino, Marco Impagliazzo, President of the Community of Sant’Egidio, and Daniele Garrone, President of the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy, will also be present.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews may apply for accreditation by 12 PM on Wednesday, 30 November 2022, via email to the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it, attaching thereto:

– copy of an identity document;

– letter from the employer media organisation or, in lack thereof, a professional press card;

– Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country (for representatives of foreign media).

 

Accredited media representatives will be able to access Terminal 5 by 3 PM.

 

The provision of the above-stated personal data is tantamount to authorizing its use in compliance with Legislative Decree N. 196 of 30 June 2003 and of the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or reasons linked to the performance of the event concerned.
