On Monday 6 February 2023 starting from about 6:00 p.m., in Adria (RO), at Cantiere Navale Vittoria, the ceremony for the handover of a newly built 300 class patrol boat to the Libyan authorities, as part of the European project SIBMMIL, will be held.

At the end of the ceremony, there will be a joint press conference of the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the Italian Minister of Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najila El Mangoush, and the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi.

There will be no live coverage of the meeting.

The accredited press will have the possibility to listen to the institutional speeches from the press room.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen may apply for accreditation by sending their request to Prefettura di Rovigo not later than 1:00 p.m. of Sunday 5 February to the e-mail address prefetto.pref_rovigo@interno.it, attaching the following:

 

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card;

 

Please note that on the day of the event (06/02/2023) no new accreditation requests will be accepted, except for unforeseen replacements.

Press badges can be collected (in person, upon presentation of a valid identity document) at the Press Accreditation Desk, at the entrance to Cantiere Navale Vittoria, located in Via Leonardo da Vinci 47, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen will be escorted to the press area by on-site staff. Press accreditation will end at 5:15 p.m.

Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen shall wear their badges in a visible position throughout the event.

The use of FFP2 masks is encouraged.

 

Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
