Press Accreditation Note

 

On Thursday 9 February 2023, a meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defence of the Italian Republic and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (2+2) will take place in Rome. The meeting will be attended, on the Italian side, by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, and, on the British side, by the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, James Cleverly, and the Secretary of State for Defence, Ben Wallace.

A joint press conference is scheduled at Villa Madama at the end of the meeting, at approximately 2 p.m.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the joint press conference may apply for accreditation by sending their request by Wednesday 8 February 2023 at 5 p.m. to the following e-mail address accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. 06 3691 3432 – 8573 o 3078), attaching the following:

For representatives of the Italian press:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
  • Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented (if not previously sent to this Accreditation Office).

Foreign press representatives already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs should send a request for accreditation with a copy of an identity document attached.

Accreditation cards must be collected in person from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, main entrance, left side, from 12:45 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Since it is not possible to reach Villa Madama by personal transport, once accredited, journalists will be driven to Villa Madama by a shuttle service from Piazzale della Farnesina (round trip), which will run until the end of the event.

The use of FFP2 masks is encouraged.

 

Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
