PRESS ACCREDITATION

First meeting of the Franco-Italian Cross-Border Cooperation Committee

(Turin, 31 October 2023)

 

On Tuesday 31 October 2023, the first meeting of the Franco-Italian Cross-Border Cooperation Committee, a body established by the Quirinal Treaty, will be held in Turin at the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento. The meeting will be co-chaired by Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Catherine Colonna, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The meeting will be hosted by the President of the Piedmont Region, Alberto Cirio, in collaboration with the Mayor of Turin, Stefano Lo Russo. Among the participants will be representatives of local authorities, members of parliament, cross-border cooperation bodies and central administrations.

At 4.00 p.m., before the start of the Committee’s work, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, will make statements to the press.

At the end of the Committee meeting, at around 6.30 p.m., Deputy Prime Minister Tajani will hold a press conference. 

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering press conference may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Monday 30 October at 12:00 p.m., to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691.3432–8573), attaching the following:

For representatives of Italian press organisations:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign

Affairs:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
  • Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Accredited journalists and cameramen may access the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento in Turin, entrance in Via Accademia delle Scienze n.5, from 2.30 p.m. to 3 p.m., to collect their badge at the ticket office.

Please note that no new accreditation requests will be accepted on the day of the event, only replacements.
