On Monday 29 January 2024, the International Summit “Italy – Africa. A Bridge for Common Growth” will be held in Rome, in the Italian Senate – Palazzo Madama. It will be attended by many Heads of State and Government and Ministers of African countries, as well as the leaders of the European Union, the African Union and the main International Organisations.
The event will begin at 9.00 a.m. with the arrival of the official delegations at Palazzo Madama, and the works will then start in the Chamber of the Senate.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the event may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Tuesday 23 January at 4:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 –3078, 8210 or 8573).
Due to space requirements, it will be possible to accredit 1 journalist and 1 photographer or 1 cameraman per media outlet. Please specify the qualification of each accredited person (journalist, cameraman, photographer, technician).
After the deadline only substitutions will be allowed.
The accreditation procedures are as follows:
For representatives of Italian press organisations:
- copy of an identity document;
- passport photo in pdf format;
- letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- copy of an identity document;
- passport photo in pdf format;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal Note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Please note:
Parliamentary journalists, including those permanently accredited to the Italian Senate, shall apply for a specific accreditation for the event, as access to the Senate will be forbidden for the entire day.
