PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE

 

On Thursday, 15 February 2024, at 4:00 p.m., the Italy-Romania Business Forum will be held at the Farnesina, organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the Embassy of Romania in Italy.

The event is organised on the occasion of the Intergovernmental Summit between Italy and Romania and will be opened by the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luminiţa Odobescu and the Romanian Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Sorin-Mihai Grindeanu.

Speeches by bodies and institutions of the two countries in support of the internationalisation of their respective economic systems and testimonies of Italian and Romanian companies will follow, focusing on four sectors: 1) energy; 2) agro-industry; 3) ICT/digitalisation and 4) infrastructures/mechanical engineering. The Business Forum aims to further strengthen bilateral economic relations, also focusing on the development of innovative sectors and emerging technologies in the name of ecological and digital transition.

The Business Forum will be open to the press for the opening and closing speeches.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the press point may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Wednesday 15 February at 4:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06/3691-3432 – 8573-3078-8210), attaching the following:

For representatives of Italian press organisations:

  • copy of an identity document
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
  • Verbal Note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Accredited press may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m.

 

Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
