ACCREDITATION NOTE
PRESS CONFERENCE OF THE ITALIAN DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION, ANTONIO TAJANI, ON THE OCCASION OF THE MINISTERIAL MEETING ON THE WESTERN BALKANS
(Farnesina, 5 February 2024)
On the occasion of the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the “Friends of the Western Balkans” group and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Western Balkans, scheduled for Monday 5 February 2024 at Villa Madama, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will hold a press conference at 4:00 p.m. at the Farnesina.
The ministerial meeting, which will be attended by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member countries of the “Friends of the Western Balkans” group and those of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, aims at strengthening coordination on the objectives and priorities to be pursued in 2024 with regard to the European integration of the Balkan region.
Established in June 2023, the “Friends of the Western Balkans” group brings together Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia, Greece and Slovenia with the aim of keeping the EU’s attention on the region high and promoting an acceleration of the integration process.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the press conference may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Friday 2 February at 5:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 –3078, 8210 or 8573), attaching the following:
For representatives of Italian press organisations:
- copy of an identity document
. letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal Note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Accredited press may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
