“Green Transition: New Opportunities for Bilateral Cooperation”

Trieste – 24 May 2024, 10:30 a.m.

 

On Friday 24 May 2024from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Italy-Serbia Business Forum dedicated to the topic “Green Transition: New Opportunities for Bilateral Cooperation” will take place in Trieste, at the Trieste Convention Centre. The aim of the Forum is to continue along the path of strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations and mutually beneficial cooperation with Serbia, fostering an ever deeper mutual knowledge of both opportunities and operators.

The Forum envisages a plenary session from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, with opening speeches by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, and by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Miloš VUČEVIĆ, introduced by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Sandra Savino, the President of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano FEDRIGA, and by the Mayor of Trieste, Roberto DIPIAZZA (tbc).

Speakers at the Forum will include the Presidents of the Italian Trade Agency, Matteo ZOPPAS, of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Marko ČADEŽ, of the Board of Directors of AOFI (Serbian Export Credit and Insurance Agency), Dejan VUKOTIĆ, of FINEST, Alessandro MINON, the Managing Directors of SACE, Alessandra RICCI, and of SIMEST, Regina CORRADINI D’ARIENZO, the Director for International Cooperation, RAS (Agency for the Development of Serbia), Nikola JANKOVIĆ, the Director of International Development Cooperation of Cassa Depositi e PrestitiPaolo LOMBARDO, and representatives from Confindustria.

At the end of the session there will be a Ceremony for the signing of agreements and understandings followed by a photo opportunity.

This will be followed at approximately 12.10 p.m. by the joint press conference of Deputy Prime Minister Tajani and Prime Minister Vučević in the Ernesto Illy Room.

Representatives of the accredited media will be able to follow the proceedings of the plenary session from a listening room. The press conference (in Italian and Serbian, with simultaneous translation) will take place in the same room.

The plenary session will be streamed live on the Foreign Ministry’s YouTube channel. 

Journalistsphotographers and cameramen interested in covering the plenary session and the joint press conference may apply for accreditation by sending a request  by Thursday 23 May at 1:00 p.m. to  accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06/3691-3432 – 8573 – 3078 – 8210), attaching the following:

for representatives of Italian press organisations:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

  • copy of an identity document;
  • letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
  • Verbal Note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request shall be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Please note that on the day of the event (24 May 2024) it will not be possible to accept new accreditation requests, except for unforeseen substitutions.

The press badge shall be collected in person, upon presentation of a valid identity document, from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. on 24 May at the Press Accreditation Desk, at Magazzino 27 of the Trieste Convention Centre (TCC), following the indication Porto Vecchio (the only access that will be allowed).

 

Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof, in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree No. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679), by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
