Growth Diplomacy towards Expo 2025 Osaka

On Wednesday 15 May 2024, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., the conference “Growth Diplomacy towards Expo 2025 Osaka” will be held in the International Conference Room at the Farnesina.
The event, which will be chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, is organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Lazio Region and will include speeches by the President of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca, the Vice President of the Lazio Region and Councillor for Economic Development, Trade, Crafts, Industry and Internationalisation, Roberta Angelilli, the Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, Mario Vattani, the General Director of the Italian Trade Agency, Lorenzo Galanti, the President of Lazio Innova, Francesco Marcolini, and the Presidents of the trade associations Unindustria, Federlazio, ANCE, and CONFAPI.
During the event, the trade associations of the industry and infrastructure sector of the Lazio Region and the Commissariat General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka will sign an agreement aimed at exploiting the opportunities for economic growth and development that participation in Expo 2025 Osaka offers. The agreement, in the perspective of the growth diplomacy promoted by Deputy Prime Minister Tajani and in the context of synergies with local autonomies and territorial diplomacy, precedes the formalisation of the participation of the Lazio Region and other associations and sectors in the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025, which will be held in Osaka, Japan, from 13 April to 13 October 2025.
The meeting will be streamed live on the Foreign Ministry’s YouTube channel.

For representatives of Italian press organisations:
- copy of an identity document
- letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations, not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- copy of an identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
Press representatives already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs may send their request by attaching a copy of an identity document.
Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen may enter the Farnesina from the main entrance, left side, from 4.15 p.m. to 4.45 p.m. on 15 May 2024.
