PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
STATES GENERAL OF CULTURAL DIPLOMACY
(Matera, 5-6 November 2024)
On 5 November 2024 at 12 noon at the Raffaele Gervasio Auditorium in Matera, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, will chair the institutional session of the States General of Cultural Diplomacy. The Minister for Universities and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, the Minister for Institutional Reforms and Regulatory Simplification, Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati , and the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Education and Merit, Paola Frassinetti, will also participate.
The Conference, which will take place on 5 and 6 November, will be an opportunity to deepen the Foreign Ministry’s commitment to renewing the cultural offer of the Italian Cultural Institutes. The topics that will be discussed include the strengthening of innovative proposals capable of attracting and involving young people throughout the world; the promotion of our territories, and the improvement of the quality of the cultural offer. The event, which takes place annually, is an important opportunity for dialogue on Italian cultural promotion in the world, marked by debates, workshops and working groups.
The press can attend in person only the opening session and the institutional speeches on Tuesday 5 November, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the event may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Monday 4 November at 5:00 p.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 – 3078, 8210 or 8573), attaching copy of an identity document, the letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation and – for representatives of the foreign press – also the Verbal Note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request shall be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Accredited journalists, photographers and cameramen will have direct access to the Auditorium Raffaele Gervasio in Matera on 5 November, from 8.15 to 8.45 am.
