PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Invitation event for Italian and International participation in the “Jubilee of Bands and Popular Music”
(Farnesina, 18 February 2025)
On Tuesday, 18 February 2025, at 12:00 p.m., an event will be held at the Farnesina to invite both Italian and international participation in the “Jubilee of Bands and Popular Music”.
Speakers will include the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization, Archbishop Rino Fisichella, the President of the National and International Table for the Enhancement of Popular and Amateur Music, Antonio Corsi, the Mayor of Numana, Gianluigi Tombolini, and the Ecclesiastical Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Archbishop Marco Malizia.
The Jubilee of Bands and Popular Music will take place on 10 and 11 May and will involve, among others, all the municipalities in Italy that have joined the “Tourism of Roots” – a project included in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) promoting tourism for Italians and people of Italian descent living abroad. Thanks to the participation of mayors from all over the country, the Jubilee of Musical Bands and Popular Music will also precede another major jubilee event dedicated to Institutions, scheduled for 20 June.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the presentation can apply for accreditation by sending a request by 11:00 a.m. on Monday, 17 February by e-mail to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 8210 – 8573 or 3432), as follows:
For representatives of the Italian press organisations:
– a copy of the identity document,
– a letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – a copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
– a copy of the identity document,
– letter from the newspaper of affiliation,
– Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
The accredited press will be able to access the Farnesina from the main entrance, on the left side, from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m.
Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
