UPDATE PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Chemical innovation as a multiplier of internationalisation and competitiveness
(Villa Madama, 7 March 2025)
On Friday, 7 March 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Villa Madama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will open the event “Chemical innovation as a multiplier of internationalisation and competitiveness,” organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the National Federation of the Chemical Industry (Federchimica) of Confindustria.
The institutional session, which will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., will also feature the participation of the Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, and the President of Federchimica, Francesco Buzzella.
The meeting will focus on the role of chemical research and innovation as a driver for exports and national growth, and a Federchimica study on the socioeconomic impact of investments in research and development will be presented. The discussion will be divided into three thematic sessions: chemical innovation to increase the internationalisation of the Italian industry; building systems, developing international cooperation in chemical research; funding, venture, start-ups: accelerating investments in chemical research for international competitiveness.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the institutional session of the event can apply for accreditation by sending a request by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday 6 March by e-mail to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06/3691 3432, 8210 or 8573), as follows:
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
For representatives of the Italian press organisations:
– a copy of the identity document,
– a letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter -, a copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
– a copy of the identity document,
– letter from the newspaper of affiliation,
– Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
Badges must be collected in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, central entrance, left side, between 09:00 a.m. and 09:30 a.m.
As it is not possible to reach Villa Madama by private means, once accredited, journalists will be escorted to Villa Madama by a shuttle service from the central entrance of the Farnesina (round trip).
Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
