PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Preparatory event for the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025
(Milan, Palazzo Lombardia, 5 March 2025)
On Wednesday, 5 March 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., the preparatory event focusing on the private sector dimension of the Ukraine Recovery Conference—scheduled to take place in Rome on 10-11 July 2025—will be held in Milan at the Auditorium Testori, Palazzo Lombardia (Piazza Città di Lombardia 1).
The meeting, which will be fully open to the press, is organised by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with Italian Trade Agency, the Lombardy Region, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. It will be chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani. Speakers will include: Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal (via video message), First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yuliia Svyrydenko, President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, Director-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood at the European Commission, Gert Jan Koopman, Special Envoy for Ukraine Reconstruction, Davide La Cecilia, Vice President of Confindustria for Export and Investment Attraction, Barbara Cimmino, Director-General of Italian Trade Agency, Lorenzo Galanti. At approximately 11:30 a.m., a group photo session will take place in the atrium of the Auditorium, open to photographers and cameramen.
The event will feature a series of working sessions focusing on: investments, energy and green transition, manufacturing and processing industries, infrastructure and housing, critical raw materials (CRM), Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). A final session will be dedicated to the presentation of the Masterplan project for the city of Mykolaiv within the framework of the UN4 Ukrainian Cities Programme, as well as the existing collaboration between the Lombardy Region and the Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The event aims to bring together governments, local authorities, international financial institutions, development banks, and Italian, Ukrainian, and international companies to discuss how to support business participation, including SMEs, in the reconstruction process.
The Opening Session will be live-streamed on the Farnesina YouTube channel and the Lombardy Region website.

For representatives of the Italian press organisations:
– a copy of the identity document,
– a letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter -, a copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
– a copy of the identity document,
– letter from the newspaper of affiliation,
– Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Accredited journalists will receive confirmation via the same email address used for the request. They must present themselves for security checks and badge collection between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at the Auditorium Testori, Entrance N1 (located on the ground floor of Palazzo Lombardia, Piazza Città di Lombardia 1). Badges must be collected in person upon presentation of a valid ID document.
