The Italy–Japan Business Group (IJBG) is a bilateral association founded in 1989 by the Italian and Japanese business communities, under the patronage of their respective governments. Its main goal is to foster strategic partnerships, investments, and trade exchanges, by enhancing synergies in key and innovative sectors such as digitalisation and sustainability.

The meeting serves as a key moment to launch new initiatives, review the results of ongoing collaborations, and define future strategic priorities.

The plenary session (the only one open to the press), which will take place in the Sala Vasari starting at 2:45 p.m., will include speeches by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the Deputy Minister of Economy, the Japanese Minister of Trade and Industry, Akiyoshi Kato (via video message), the President of the Italy-side IJBG, Roberto Cingolani, and his Japanese counterpart, Shunichi Miyanaga.

Also speaking will be the President of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Matteo Zoppas, and the President of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), Susumu Kataoka.

At 5:00 p.m., a speech is scheduled by the Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso.
