Arrival in Italy of Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip
(Ciampino Airport – 31st Wing, 29 September 2025)
Today, Monday 29 September 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m. (time to be confirmed, due to the technical complexity of the operations), a flight carrying a group of Palestinian children in need of medical care, evacuated from the Gaza Strip to receive assistance in Italy, will land at Rome Ciampino Military Airport.
Representing the Government, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will be present at the airport to welcome the group.
The humanitarian operation includes three special flights (arriving in Rome Ciampino, Lecce Galatina and Verona) operated by the Italian Air Force, transporting to Italy 15 patients accompanied by their families, for a total of 81 people.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to cover the arrival are kindly invited to apply for accreditation by sending their request—including full name, place and date of birth, telephone number, a copy of their ID, and professional identity card—to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it by 2:00 p.m. today, Monday 29 September 2025.
Those intending to park their vehicle at the airport (military zone) are also asked to provide the make and registration number of the vehicle to the above address.
Accredited media representatives are requested to be present at Ciampino Military Airport by 7:00 p.m.
