PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
“ITALIAN SPORT DAY IN THE WORLD”
(Villa Madama, 09 September 2025)

 

On Tuesday, 9 September 2025, at 5 p.m., Villa Madama will host the launch event for the second edition of “Italian Sport Day in the World”, a thematic exhibition aimed at promoting our country’s excellence in this field as well.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, will speak at the event. The President of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), Luciano Buonfiglio, and the President of the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP), Marco Giunio De Sanctis, will also be in attendance.

In view of the Milan-Cortina Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Mediterranean Games, both scheduled for 2026, the event will focus on mountain and sea sports, which will be presented by leading figures and sporting champions.

Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in attending the event may apply for accreditation by sending a request by Tuesday 9 September at 10:00 a.m. to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06 3691 3432 – 3078, 8210 or 8573), attaching the following:

For representatives of the Italian press organisations:

– a copy of the identity document,

– a letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter -, a copy of professional identity card.

For representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

– a copy of the identity document,

– letter from the newspaper of affiliation,

– Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.

For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

Badges must be collected in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, central entrance, left side, between 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.

As private vehicles are not permitted to access Villa Madama, accredited journalists will be escorted to Villa Madama by shuttle service operating from the Farnesina (round trip), available until the conclusion of the event.

 

Submitting the above-mentioned personal data means authorising the use thereof in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 and the GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) by the Directorate General for Public and Cultural Diplomacy of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the data controller, for strictly professional purposes and/or purposes related to the performance of the event in question.
