PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
STATES GENERAL OF CULTURAL DIPLOMACY
(Macerata and Recanati, 24 October 2025)
On 24 October 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at the Lauro Rossi Theater in Macerata, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will chair the institutional session of the States General of Cultural Diplomacy. Local authorities and representatives of the local culture and business community will also be present.
At 5:00 p.m., in Recanati (Aula Magna of the Town Hall), Minister Tajani will speak about the cultural legacy of Giacomo Leopardi and will participate in the “Winged Mercury” awards ceremony, an annual recognition for cultural institutions that best promote Italian culture worldwide.
The Conference, which will take place on October 23-24, is held every year and provides an important opportunity for dialogue on the strategies and goals of Italian cultural diplomacy. Topics to be discussed include the internationalization of local areas and innovation in cultural supply.
Press representatives can attend the institutional sessions in-person on Friday, 24 October: from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Macerata (Lauro Rossi Theater) and from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in Recanati (Aula Magna of the Town Hall).
A dedicated shuttle bus will be available for accredited press to reach Recanati after the session in Macerata.
Interested journalists, photographers, and cameramen may register by 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, 23 October at https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it, attaching the required documents. Those who have already registered on the online portal and have received confirmation from the system that their registration has been accepted can access their profile and select to participate in the event.

Accredited press will have direct access on 24 October:
- to the Lauro Rossi Theater in Macerata from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.;
- to the Aula Magna of Recanati Town Hall from 4:00 to 4:30 p.m.
