Presentation of initiatives for the enhancement of “Roots Tourism” funded by the Development and Cohesion Fund
(Villa Madama, 21 November 2025)
On Friday, 21 November, from 10:30 a.m., Villa Madama will host the presentation of initiatives for the enhancement of “Roots Tourism”, funded by the Development and Cohesion Fund. The event will be moderated by journalist Giovanna Pancheri.
The programme will feature the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the President of the National Italian American Foundation, Robert V. Allegrini, and the Councillor to the Vice Presidency of the Council for Local Authorities and European Programming, Carmine De Angelis.
Following the institutional greetings, a Round Table will be held with the implementing bodies of the “Roots Tourism” initiatives. Participants will include: Antonio Tajani, Mayor of Fiumicino, Sen. Mario Baccini, President of the Province of Avellino, Rizieri Buonopane, President of Sport e Salute, Marco Mezzaroma, CEO of Sport e Salute, Diego Nepi Molineris, and President of the Monti Ausoni and Lago di Fondi Regional Natural Park, Giuseppe Incocciati.
At the conclusion of the Round Table, Minister Tajani will present an award to the representatives of the implementing bodies and deliver his closing remarks.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to cover the event may request accreditation by 4:00 p.m. on 20 November, registering at https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and uploading the required documentation.
Those already registered on the online Portal and who have received confirmation from the system may access their profile and select participation in the event.

Badges must be collected in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, rear entrance on Via Macchia della Farnesina (press side), on Friday, 21 November, between 9:15 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.
As Villa Madama cannot be reached by private vehicles, once accredited, journalists will be taken to Villa Madama by a shuttle service departing from the rear entrance on Via Macchia della Farnesina (round trip). The service will operate until the end of the event.
