18th CONFERENCE OF ITALIAN AMBASSADORS
(Rome – Milan, 14–18 December 2025)
18th CONFERENCE OF ITALIAN AMBASSADORS

On Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 December 2025, the Farnesina will host the 18th edition of the Conference of Italian Ambassadors in the World, a platform for strategic reflection on Italy’s international priorities. Over 150 heads of Italian diplomatic missions abroad are expected to attend. The conference programme for 15 and 16 December is attached.

The inaugural session on Monday 15 December at 10:30 a.m. will feature addresses by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani. As in previous editions, various Government Ministers and foreign guests will also participate in the working sessions, including the German Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul.

The Conference, organised with media partnership from ANSA and RaiNews, will have a distinctly operational focus this year, addressing key topics on the international agenda: maintaining peace and security in crisis areas, growth and internationalisation of Italian businesses, the promotion of culture and sport in support of competitiveness, technological innovation, regulatory simplification, and European affairs.

On Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 December, the Conference programme will continue in Milan at Fiera Milano (Rho, 17 December), Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Borsa Italiana (18 December). A separate communication will follow regarding the Milan programme.
