PRESENTATION OF THE FOREIGN MINISTRY’S REFORM
Villa Madama (Rome), 4 December 2025
On Thursday, 4 December 2025, at 10:00 a.m., an event will be held at Villa Madama (Rome) to present the reform of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Antonio Tajani, will speak at the event.
The main innovations of the Foreign Ministry’s reform, which will enter into force on 1 January, 2026, will be presented. Through a new two-entity organization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will synergistically manage the instruments dedicated to growth diplomacy and those more closely related to the political and security issues of the international agenda. The reform also increases attention to cybersecurity and technological innovation, and aims to improve services for Italian citizens abroad.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to follow the plenary session may request accreditation by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 3 December, by registering at https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and uploading the required documents.
Those already registered on the online Portal, who have received confirmation from the system, may access their profile and select participation in the event.

Badges shall be collected in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, main entrance (left-hand side), on Thursday, 4 December, between 8:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
As it is not possible to reach Villa Madama with private vehicles, accredited journalists will be transported to Villa Madama via a shuttle service operating from the main entrance of the Foreign Ministry (round trip), available until the conclusion of the event.
