Promoting Italian agro-food industries in Quebec

Boosting commercial relations with Quebec, Canada, and promoting the producers of Made-in-Italy agro-food products were the aim of the meeting between the National President of the Italian Farmers Confederation (CIA) and the Italian Consul General in Montréal, Marco Riccardo Rusconi.

The talk, which took place at the CIA headquarters in Rome, offered the opportunity to explore the excellent growth potential for CIA affiliates on the Quebec market, also thanks to the CETA agreement signed between the EU and Canada.   In addition to being Canada’s second-largest city, Montréal is an important economic and commercial hub and hosts a sizable Italian-Canadian community and residents with a large purchasing power.

The meeting will be followed up with a series of initiatives dedicated to Italian agricultural enterprises as part of the CIA-funded international promotion plan.
