The MM Contemporary Dance Company is directed by choreographer by Michele Merola and was established in 1999 as a production centre for events and performances and to promote festivals and workshops with the aim of fostering exchanges and alliances between Italian and international artists, the testimonials and voices of contemporary culture.
The repertory of the company based in Reggio Emilia is rich and varied thanks to the work of Michele Merola and the creations of European and Italian choreographers like Mats Ek, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Karl Alfred Schreiner, Emanuele Soavi, Enrico Morelli.
In 2010, the MM Contemporary Dance Company won the prestigious Danza&Danza Award as the best emerging dance company and today is a fully established excellence of the Italian dance scene, staging a sizable number of performances throughout the national territory.
