The 26th International Book Fair in Minsk has opened. Up to 10th February, the traditional cultural event will showcase the main editorial novelties from all over the world at Belexpo, Belarus’s Exhibition Centre.

At the Fair, Italy is represented by a composite high-quality team at the stand set up by the Italian Embassy. On 8th February, Italian singer-songwriter Mimmo Locasciulli will be presenting his latest book “Come una macchina volante” and will also perform some of his songs. Locasciulli alternates his medical career with that as singer-songwriter and composer. In particular, he has collaborated with Francesco De Gregori, Enrico Ruggeri, Greg Cohen and participated in the Turin and Cairo International Book Fairs.

Moreover, the Italian Embassy has invited Gabriella Debetto, an expert in language education and the author of various manuals for learning Italian as foreign language. She will be presenting her book “Caleidoscopio italiano”, a useful instrument to learn Italian through the use of literature.
At the Italian Stand there will also be Vincenzo Santoro, professor of Italian language at the Minsk State Linguistic University. He will be giving instructions on how to learn Italian by using his manual “Adriano una giornata qualunque”. Lastly, author-poet Goffredo Muratgia, Italian language assistant at the Belurian State Academy of Music in Minsk, will be participating in the Writers’ Symposium with his poetry collection titled: “L’amore bivacca a sud di ogni poesia.”
