Melbourne hosts book club meetings dedicated to women writers

Seven meetings will be dedicated to women’s literature during the 2019 edition of Melbourne’s Book Club. The Italian Cultural Institute in Melbourne decided to focus on Italian women writers to allow readers in other countries to get to know the many women writers of contemporary Italian literature. This year Kylie Doust, a specialist in Italian studies and past literary agent for many successful Italian authors, will be guiding participants in the Book Club. She will be presenting the works of Francesca Melandri, Elsa Morante, Simonetta Agnello Hornby, Michela Murgia, Donatella Di Pietrantonio, Milena Agus and Francesca Marciano during seven meetings until 20 November.
