The second edition of ‘Fare Cinema’, the Italian Film Festival that will tour 100 cities in the world, was organised by the Italian Consulate General in Miami and held at the Coral Gables. The rich programme of the 2019 edition closed yesterday with great public acclaim, having attracted more than 700 spectators.
This year’s edition was rich with important films such as ‘Tenderness’ (‘La tenerezza’) by Gianni Amelio, ‘Un ragazzo d’oro’ by Pupi Avati, and ‘The Chair of Happiness’ (‘La sedia della felicità’) by Carlo Mazzacurati. The mayor of Coral Gables, Valdes Fauli, opened the Festival together with the Italian Consul General in Miami, Cristiano Musillo, with these words: “We are happy to cooperate with the Italian Consulate General to bring the high-quality cultural programming of ‘Fare Cinema’ to Coral Gables.
The city appreciates the important contributions and investments that Italian residents and companies make here. The Italian Film Festival is an initiative that fits perfectly with our cosmopolitan city.”
