Exhibition ‘Italia Inquadra’ opens in Bahia Blanca

The Italian Consul General in Bahia Blanca officially opened the exhibition “Italia Inquadra” which brings together works by Italian artists and Argentinian artists who have a connection to Italy. The Municipality of Bahia Blanca and the Scuola Normale of the Università del Sud also participated in the project. The principal aim of the exhibition, apart from promoting the Italian-Argentinian artistic heritage common to the two countries, is to disseminate and spread the Italian language. The illustration of the works, the artists’ biographies and information material were produced in Italian by the students of the Scuola Normale of the Università Nazionale del Sud. These same students will provide guided tours in Italian to the visitors to the exhibition. In opening the exhibition, the Consul General, Antonio Petraruloha, emphasised that, “the participation of young people in Italian cultural activities and the promotion of our language are essential elements of Italian cultural and economic promotion in Argentina and the exhibition “Italia Inquadra” aims to compound elements in the best way possible.” The exhibition, which will be displayed at the Mseum of Contemporary Art of Bahia Blanca, is part of the “The Italian Way of Life” project and will run until 31st August.
