On Wednesday, 28 August, the “New Pleasure of Reading in Italian” series will pick up again at the Italian Embassy in Brasilia.
The readings of contemporary works will resume with “Ogni angelo è tremendo” by Susanna Tamaro. In a book which is halfway between an autobiography and an educational novel, the authoress narrates the childhood of a restless and sleepless little girl, her passage into adolescence and the need to come to terms with the wounds that accompany her path towards adulthood. In this book, Susanna Tamaro reveals some secrets of her own and of her family’s life and also her discovery of art, poetry and writing.
A book in Italian will be raffled off at the end of the reading hosted in the Embassy’s Sala Nervi.
