The Italian Cultural Institute in Buenos Aires presented “Harpscapes”, a harp concert by Maestro Raoul Moretti which is part of the programme of the ‘Vivacissimo Classica’ cycle of concerts. The concert is the outcome of a deep-reaching research into the pureness of the sound of a harp, with an essential but calibrated use of live electronics by Massimo Colombo and will be repeated in Ushuaia. The project has already been presented in Harp Festivals in Italy, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Croatia, Serbia, France, Belgium, Martinique, Dominica, Bulgaria, Poland, and Spain and was officially showcased at the World Harp Congress 2014 in Sydney. The project also includes the collaboration of video artists of the Olo Creative Farm who, through the use of their imagination, project the image of Moretti’s compositions, producing visuals that produce a live interaction directly managed by the musician during the concert. Raoul Moretti is a versatile experimental harpist with a very original approach to his instrument. He is indeed among the most innovative harpists and brings his instrument into a wide variety of musical worlds (avant-garde, pop-rock, world music, electronics, nu-dance, classic, free improvising), as well as in other forms of art (dance, painting, cinema, video-installations) and in different locations (theatres, clubs, discos, homes, stations, streets, hospital facilities and medical centres).
