New York, meeting with Italians fighting Covid-19

An opportunity to debate with the Italian representatives of the medical-scientific community who are fighting against Coronavirus. It is the first event of the digital initiative #italiandigitaltownhall, dedicated to the Italians engaged in the front line against Covid-19 in New York.

The meeting – promoted by the Consulate General of Italy in New York in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy in Washington – will be attended by Italian Ambassador to the United States Armando Varricchio, connecting from Washington, Consul General of Italy in New York Francesco Genuardi and four Italian representatives of the New York medical-scientific community engaged in different roles during Covid-19 emergency, which has severely hit the city: Stefania Clementi (Psychologist, La Scuola d’Italia Guglielmo Marconi), Gennaro Giustino (Cardiologist, Mount Sinai Hospital), Francesco Santoni (Cardiologist, Summit Medical Group) and Caterina Tiozzo (Neonatologist, NYU Winthrop Hospital). The four doctors will share their experiences and testimonies with the public and will answer questions from participants.

The debate will be moderated by Stefania Spatti, CNBC/ Class TV journalist.

The event is scheduled for May 15th at 6:00 pm (New York time).

The initiative will also be broadcast live on the Consulate’s Facebook social platform.
