Uganda: first aid shipment delivered for the fight against Covid-19

On Wednesday, a ceremony was held for the delivery of medical equipment for the Lacor Hospital (Gulu) run by the Fondazione Piero and Lucille Corti Foundation, to continue to support Uganda in the fight against Covid-19.

The cargo, containing various medical equipment including ventilators, filters, oxygen masks, was symbolically delivered by the Italian Ambassador in Kampala, Massimiliano Mazzanti, to the Director for Health Services of the Ugandan Ministry of Health, Dr Charles Olaro, at the warehouses of the Joint Medical Store.

This is the first of the interventions that the Italian Cooperation has prepared in favour of Ugandan hospitals. Italy alongside its partners in the Covid-19 emergency response and the international alliance on the search for a cure.
