The Italian Cultural Institute of Bogotá is taking part in the International Book Fair, which has been held in the Colombian capital every year since 1988 and will be running this year until 20 August, bringing together book professionals, publishers, distributors, booksellers, agents and writers for an international showcase that is open to national and international buyers, mainly from the Andes area, Central America, the Caribbean, and the United States. Italy will be represented by three authors, beginning on 7 August with Daniele Aristarco, interviewed by Isabel Calderon. Born in Naples in 1977, Aristarco is the author of popular stories and essays for children. On 18 August Marto Martella will be in conversation with the journalist Enrique Uribe Botero; finally on 20 August Gabriele Clima, the writer and illustrator of children’s books, will discuss the themes of diversity, interculture and integration with Jael Gómez.
