Thanks to the commitment of the Italian Cultural Institute of Sao Paulo, Italy is participating in the Ecofalante Film Festival, which opens today and ends on 14 September. The programme of this tenth edition of the festival, which is taking place online, includes 101 films from 40 countries, 30 of which have never been seen before in Brazil, addressing social and environmental issues. Three Italian films are participating in the Festival. The first is “Res Creata” by Alessandro Cattaneo, which deals with the age-old relationship between humans and animals and suggests that if we can change the way we think about animals, the entire ecosystem will benefit. In the second film, Alice Rohrwachter’s “Omelia Contadina” a community of Italian peasants carry out a funeral ritual in which they themselves are the dead. The third film is “Fukushima: A Nuclear Story” by Matteo Gagliardi.
The films are available at the website http://www.ecofalante.org.br and on the partner platforms Belas Artes à La Carte and Spcine Play.
