Jakarta: Italy delivers 796,800 doses of Covid vaccines

Today Italy delivered 796,800 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to Jakarta, donated to Indonesia via the COVAX Facility.
The handover ceremony took place this morning in the cargo area of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, in the presence of Ambassador Benedetto Latteri. The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (KEMLU) was represented by the Director for the Countries of Europe I, Mr Ida Bagus Made Bimantara, together with the staff of Desk Italia. The UNICEF Indonesia Representative Robert Gass also took part in the ceremony. The Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi sent a short video message of thanks.
