The “Magister Raffaello” exhibition arrives in Santiago, Chile

Together with the Italian Cultural Institute of Santiago and the Artequin Museum, the Italian Embassy in Chile brings the exhibition “Magister Raffaello, a wonderful journey through the Italian Renaissance” to Chile.

The multimedia exhibition, which is arriving in Santiago after being shown in Austria, Vietnam and Mexico, allows visitors to explore the work, life and adventures of one of the most emblematic artists of the Italian Renaissance. The exhibition is divided into six spaces in which more than 40 works are presented, bearing witness to the different stages of Raphael’s career, as well as the three styles that dominated it: his early years in Umbria, the Florentine period and, finally, his Roman experience at the papal court.

After “Da Vinci Experience” in 2019, the Artequin Museum with “Magister Raffaello” offers an unprecedented journey through the Italian Renaissance. The exhibition, created by Magister Art, which can be visited in person or through online guided tours, will be open to the public from 16 September to 26 October 2021.

For Mauro Battocchi, Ambassador of Italy in Chile “after the great success of “Da Vinci Experience” in 2019, with Magister Raffaello, we return to bring the Chilean public closer to the great artists of the Italian Renaissance with a modern, fun and accessible experience for everyone. The extraordinary beauty in Raphael’s paintings can inspire us in this phase of restart and rebirth after more than a year of pandemic”.

For the Raffaello exhibition, too, it has been decided to dedicate a specific itinerary to children through a dynamic of identification: it will be easy to identify themselves in Raffaello as a child who recounts his life accompanying the young visitors through the rooms of the exhibition, like an imaginary friend with whom to share happiness, joys, aspirations and frustrations. The tour dedicated to children is curated by Eva Montanari, a well-known writer and illustrator of children’s books.
