Washington DC (29 September 2021) – “The Italian System in the USA for the Protection of Intellectual Property and the Fight against Counterfeiting.” This is the theme of the webinar that the Italian Embassy in Washington DC has organised for tomorrow, Thursday 30 September (10 am ET – 4 pm CET), in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza (Italian Finance Police) and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalisation of Italian enterprises).

The event will be opened by Italian Ambassador to the United States Mariangela Zappia, ICE Director-General Roberto Luongo, and Lt. Col. Giacomo Scilì Bellomo, General Command of the Guardia di Finanza – Office “Tutela Made in Italy”, It aims to provide Italian entrepreneurs interested in the US market with helpful information on the protection of intellectual property and the fight against counterfeiting. It is a crucial topic of the relaunch of our exports to the United States, a market of 350 million inhabitants. Our trade has grown even compared to pre-pandemic values.
In addition to speeches by Ricardo Mayoral, Deputy Assistant Director at the National Intellectual Property Right Center – (HSI), Robert Barchiesi, President of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition (IACC), Angelo Mazza, IACC Consultant. Training, the event will also include a corporate testimony by Josephine Pace, CEO of Alfa Green Solutions and an information session by Daniela Morrison, Attorney at the Intellectual Property Protection and Trade Barrier Assistance Desk of ICE New York.
The session, moderated by Mediaset New York correspondent Maria Luisa Rossi Hawkins, will be concluded by Antonino Laspina, ICE USA Network Coordinator and ICE New York Director.
