Melbourne: talking about the relationship between people and trees
On 15 October, as part of the Sustainable Development Festival 2021, the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne is offering an online conference entitled “We are the Forest – Our special relationship with trees”.
Giorgio Vacchiano, researcher in Forest Management and Planning at the State University of Milan, will explain how to re-establish a happy and harmonious relationship with our forests. Vacchiano will talk about the trees and forests of the world, explaining what they do for us and the dangers they face. A constantly evolving world that gives us more than we can imagine: an ecosystem that is strong but also weak at the same time and on which nothing less than our very survival depends.
