Houston, screening of films by Federico Fellini

In honor of the 100th anniversary of Federico Fellini’s birth, postponed for a year because of the pandemic, a screening of several of his masterpieces concluded a few days ago at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston (MFAH), one of the most prestigious cultural institutions of Texas.

The event, inaugurated in September, was co-produced by the Istituto Luce of Cinecitta’ and sponsored by the Italian Institute of Culture in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the General Consulate of Houston in the framework of integrated promotional initiatives.

A series of twelve films was shown, presented in the original language with subtitles in English. Among them were “La Strada”,  “Le Notti di Cabiria”,  “Giulietta degli Spiriti” and “La Dolce Vita” concluding, on November 7, with “Amarcord”.

The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Giulietta Masina.
