A visit to the IILA projects by the Ambassador of Italy to the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo
Visita dell'Ambasciatore d'Italia in Rep. Domenicana a progetto IILA

The Italian Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Stefano Queirolo Palmas, recently visited the Technology Transfer and Vocational Training Project at the San Ignacio de Loyola Institute (ITESIL) in Dajabón (on the border between the Dominican Republic and Haiti), which is being implemented by the International Italo-Latin American Organisation (IILA) thanks to Italian funding from the Italian Cooperation Agency.

During his visit the Ambassador was able to see the Experimental Field, which IILA has equipped with precision agricultural machinery and tools. He also inaugurated the Food Processing Laboratory that IILA recently donated to ITESIL.

Furthermore, in the first week of November the Italian expert Riccardo Pelagagge held a training course in fruit and vegetable processing, for ITESIL tutors and final year students.
