A show based on one of the Divine Comedy’s most famous cantiche – the very first one of the Inferno – to be displayed from 17 to 19 January 2022 at the Finis Terrae Theatre in Santiago, as part of the “Santiago a Mil Festival”, an international event of performing arts, offering theatre, dance and music events. A cultural initiative that features the collaboration of the Italian Cultural Institute of Santiago.
The performance is a multidisciplinary reformulation of Dante’s work, written by award-winning playwright Marco Antonio de la Parra.
In Marco Antonio de la Parra’s Inferno – which is an adaptation of the first cantica of the Divine Comedy – Dante and Virgil embark on a journey across sins, plagues and the damned.
A multidisciplinary and captivating show that reviews Dante’s epic poem, blending visual and aural elements, poetry and performance, evolving into a concert of electronic music and featuring a great acting performance by Nèstor Cantillana. The playwright himself takes part in the show too, with Daniel Maraboli in charge of stage and musical direction.
