Kim Chaewon, a student at the Italian Studies Department of the Busan University of Foreign Studies, is the winner of the first edition of “Ambassador for a Day”. The project, launched by the Italian Embassy in Seoul together with the Italian Cultural Institute, is targeted to female students interested in pursuing a diplomatic carrier.
The winner will have the opportunity of living a “typical” day as a woman ambassador, attending meetings and conferences with the representatives of important Italian and Korean institutions, a meeting with Italian business people through the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, as well as cultural events through the Italian Cultural Institute in Seoul. It represents a unique opportunity to engage more women in the pursuit of a career in diplomacy.
