L'artista Piero Mottola espone a L'Avana

The Italian Embassy in Havana announces the participation of artist Piero Mottola in the 14th edition of the Havana Biennial contemporary art show hosted at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. The Italian artist is due to exhibit his “Voices of Life”, a sound installation comprising ten acoustic speakers and an emotional map that the author specifically conceived for the spaces of the Museum, which will receive it as a gift at the end of the exhibition. The exhibition is scheduled to open today, April 14th.

Through the voices, noises and vocal rhythms of ordinary people recorded from China to Europe, from Latin America to the Caribbean, visitors will be guided through an ever-changing emotional journey. “Voices of Life” forms part of the more extensive “Voices” project on which Mottola has been working since 2015 and that has fostered a long-standing collaboration between the artist and Cuba’s contemporary art scene.
