Beba Restelli will be at the Italian Cultural Institute in Berlin on May 7th to offer a workshop for children aged 6 to 10. With her support, the children will create a book with no text; but is a book with no text still a book? Of course, because it communicates through the senses.
With different types of papers to cut out, tear and punch holes into… the children will create books for their eyes, fingers, ears, nose and maybe even taste… rediscovering the genius of Bruno Munari, inventor of the Libri illeggibili [Unreadable books] and author of wonderful children’s books full of surprises.
Beba Restelli, workshop leader, pupil and direct collaborator of Munari, is a founding member of the Associazione Bruno Munari where she has been teaching didactics according to the Bruno Munari® Method. She is involved in educational projects in schools, museums and libraries, promoting the teaching and works of the great designer from Milan. She is the author of numerous publications on the subject.
