The “Comics in Museums” exhibition has been opened in Tunis in the presence of the Italian Ambassador, Lorenzo Fanara. The exhibition is hosted in Palais Kheireiddine, the Municipality of Tunis’s historic exhibition space located in the Medina.
This is just the first stage of the exhibition, promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute of Tunis and curated by Simona Cardinali. The images on show are part of a project consisting of 51 comic books with drawings by some of the most famous graphic novel artists. Each volume tells a story set in a museum or archaeological park that has inspired the individual artist.
Comics in Museums is a Ministry of Culture project organised in collaboration with Coconino Press-Fandango and with the support of Ales SpA. Its aim is to attract the younger generations to cultural sites.
